Course Description
The goal of this 35-hour training course, “Voyage
Planning and Electronic Navigation”, is to
provide trainees with knowledge, understanding
and proficiency in appraising and planning an
ocean and coastal voyage, and using bridge
electronics such as GPS, GYRO and Autopilot in
executing the plan. This course (in combination
with ECDIS) satisfies the Advanced Navigation
Requirements of STCW for Chief Mates and
Masters of vessels over 500 ITC.
