Student Support

Welcome to PMI’s Student Support page. All of us at Pacific Maritime Institute endeavor to make each of our student's experience as valuable and comfortable as possible. We are aware that some of our student's are unfamiliar with the school, and the area as well. If you need a little guidance on where to stay and what to do in the area you can check out our Accommodations page, and our City Guide.

For students already enrolled the schedule and payment plan are available below.

Handbook

A student handbook has been created for our students, which provides some general information about the school, the staff here, medical facilities, the local USCG REC and the area itself with different activities throughout each Season.  If you would like a handbook please see the front desk so that they can provide you with one.

Student Center

PMI invites students to take advantage of our Student Center which has high speed internet access.  We also offer a wireless connection for students who have their own equipment.

Amenities

During our hours of operation, which are 7:00 a.m. to 4 p.m., we provide coffee, featuring HINES PUBLIC MARKET coffee, and for tea drinkers we offer an assortment of teas, as well.  Water is always available as are a refrigerator, microwave, and toaster oven.  Vending machines in the school include two drink machines, a snack machine and a refrigerated machine which has sandwiches and other lunch choices.  There is one restaurant that is a 10 minute walk away.

Administrative Assistance

Because students come in for and extended period of time we realize there are times you will need writing supplies, use of a fax machine and/or copy machine.  You may need to have mail/packages sent to the school as well.  While you are here feel free to utilize these amenities.  This is your school and we are happy to help.  If you have any questions don't hesitate to ask the front desk or anyone in the administrative department.  All of PMI staff are friendly and willing to be of service to our students.
