Course Description
This 70-hour course is based on IMO Course Model 7.01 Competence 3.2
“Monitor and control compliance with legislative requirements” and
Competence 3.5 “Organize and Manage the Crew”. It has been written to
comply with the training requirements of NMC Policy Letter 04-02 “Ship
Management” and the STCW Code Table A-II/2. This course consists of two
5-day sessions, “Maritime Business and Law” and “Safety Management”. Each
session can be taken independently of the other, but a “Ship Management”
certificate will not be issued unless both sessions have been completed
within one year of each other.
