Overview of PMI's Simulation Facilities

Our 15,000 square foot facility features is also home to Transas Marine USA, a marine technology company that specializes in marine simulation and navigation systems. This allows PMI to offer some of the most impressive simulation systems currently in use for educational and vocational training. PMI has signed up to a long term service contract with Transas USA, which keeps our simulators with the latest upgrades and close to 100% up-time.

PMI's Space includes the following Resources:

One 240 degree DNV Class A Full Mission Bridge Simulator
One 330 degree Full Mission Tugboat Simulator
Four Norcontrol Radar/ARPA Simulators
Ten Transas Desktop ‘Fast Time’ Simulators in an ECDIS/Electronic Navigation Lab
One Radio Communications Lab
Two Simulation Debriefing Rooms (fully integrated with Fast Time and Real-Time Simulators)
Three additional classrooms, one of which can seat 50 persons

In the following sections, you will learn more about the simulators and the technology that allow PMI to offer such a comprehensive program for its students to gain knowledge and experience. This is as close to the real thing as possible in a controlled and safe environment.
