Course Description
This 8 hour course is designed to
address the growing need for mentor and assessors in the
maritime industry as a result of apprenticeship style
onboard training programs.
This is a two part course; the first
part is to provide "Mentors" with the practical knowledge
and techniques to assist and enhance their ability to
mentor.
The second part of this course is to
provide participants with basic knowledge and
understanding of formal practical assessments and
techniques to assist and enhance their ability to assess
objectively, efficiently, and consistently every time.
