Entry Level Courses

Introduction

This program is designed for individuals who wish to pursue a career in the Maritime Industry. We can assist you in meeting the minimum standards of an 'Ordinary Seaman' or enroll you in a training program which will provide you with qualifications necessary to make you more attractive to maritime companies. We also offer assistance in job placement, planning and guidance to help you succeed in the maritime industry. For more information ask for our "Entry Level Booklet".

 

Entry Level Program Overview

Total clock hours with optional courses included: 143 hours (4 weeks)
Total clock hours with required course: 40 hours (1 week)
Scope: Completing this training will allow a student to work in an entry-level position as an Ordinary Seaman (deck hand) or Wiper (engine hand).

Recommended sequence of courses: RFPNW, AB, BST, AFF, LFBT

Affiliations

We offer our entry-level program through our affiliation with Fremont Maritime Services, and Seattle Maritime Academy. Both of these schools are highly respected within the industry and are USCG approved.
