Course Description
USCG Crew Endurance (CE) Coaches
training is designed to provide commercial mariners the
knowledge and skills to develop, deploy, and assess Crew
Endurance Management Systems (CEMS) within their
companies. As a Crew Endurance Coach, the employee
is critical to the success of CEMS implementation.
Coaches provide education and guidance on the principles
of light and sleep management, assist with changes to
the work and rest environment, make recommendations on
schedule changes, and help create personal endurance

to educate personnel on a vessel, and the processes and
practices specific to the USCG Crew Endurance Management
